Dendrobates Auratus ‘Costa Rican Green and Black Dart Frogs (Captive Bred)
Auratus have a soft buzzing call that's barely audible unless you're listening closely. They tend to be a more reserved dart species than some others, but in time, once established in a well planted environment this species is a brillient green gem you wont be able to keep your eyes off of!
All our babies are at least 3 months out of water before we rehome them and are readily accepting Melanogaster fruit flies, Springtails and White and Purple Dwarf Isopods.
Auratus enjoy a wetter environment and higher ambient humidity compared to other Dart Frog species. Pairs should be housed in a well planted bio active vivarium. It should be a minimum size of 12”x12”x24” (approximately 20-30gal.) Temperature should maintained between 65 and 85 Fahrenheit. Humidity above 70-100%.
Daily misting is required.
